1-2 million Thymuses are Stolen Every Year
Adult Thymectomy - DEATH RATE TRIPLES WITHIN 5 YEARS
Each year, more than 2 million people around the world have open-heart surgery to treat various heart problems.
In cardiac surgery, a partial or total thymectomy is frequently performed to improve access to the heart and great vessels. One might expect half of these patients have their thymus taken.
Five years after surgery, 8.1% of patients who had a thymectomy died compared with 2.8% of those who did not have their thymus removed.
“A team evaluated the risk of death, cancer, and autoimmune disease among 1,146 adults who had their thymus removed during surgery and among 1,146 demographically matched patients who underwent similar cardiothoracic surgery without thymectomy…
Five years after surgery, 8.1% of patients who had a thymectomy died compared with 2.8% of those who did not have their thymus removed, equating to a 2.9-times higher risk of death. Also during that time, 7.4% of patients in the thymectomy group developed cancer compared with 3.7% of patients in the control group, for a 2.0-times higher risk.”
These were adults who had their thymus stolen. It was only a 5 year follow up.
The younger a person is and the longer the thymus is gone, the higher the risk of immune defects and death.
Is it neccesary to remove the thymus organ during heart surgery?
The thymus can survive next to any muscle tissue.
“Stolen thymus organs are surgically placed into a thigh muscle, usually the quadriceps, where blood vessels are plentiful. The thymus tissue is cultured for 2–3 weeks, then the surgeon makes furrows in the muscle and places the tissue into pockets. The quadriceps is a good site because it's a large, highly vascularized muscle”
I have heard claims that they didn’t know it was important (a lie). If they “didn’t know” then why take it and why did they spend 4 decades studying these infants as they grew and suffered immunodeficiency as a result? Why do they call these people an interesting group to study as they age and suffer without ever knowing what was done to them? Why steal their organs and research them for 20+ years to make pharaceuticals to help people’s immune systems if they don’t know why someone would need it? Why did all animal studies done on thymuses for decades prior to infant thymectomy show immunodefiency and death in the animals? Why justify stealing organs with the paltry excuse that it was “in the way?” They injected these stolen babies’s organs into AIDS patients in the 1980’s. Why do this if they didn’t know the thymus organ helps the immune system and increases survival in people who have low T-cells due to infection, chemotherapy and aging?
4 things may significantly affect a child's ability to survive after thymectomy:
1- Low birth weight or malnourished. Some heart defects cause low oxygen and the body to over-compensate with rapid breathing. Caloric requirements are unable to be met. Malnourishment causes the thymus to shrink. Medical articles have described it as “nutritional thymectomy.” - my son had this problem. Normally a child will regain their immune system once they gain weight, their thymus grows and begins to function. For infants who's thymuses are stolen they lose this opportunity.
2- The infant may be exposed to a toxin which shrinks the thymus. This happened to my son. He was given chloral hydrate 3 days before surgery which he was severely allergic to. In the medical report his thymus weight was very low compared to a normal infant, only 4 grams.
3- Chemotherapy, lymphoablative therapy, some infections and toxins lead to both T-cell destruction and thymus involution. Even some people who have a thymus are unable to restore T-cells.
4- Whether they caught CMV, which attacks thymic cells, before or after thymectomy. Most children catch it at age 7. It is a mild illness, self-resolving in children who have a thymus. Their thymus matures more immunocompetent cells to make up for those lost during infection. If their thymus was taken at a very young age, like my son (4 mos old) then CMV develops in childhood, this is the main trigger for severe immunodeficiency in thymectomized infants. My son developed CMV at age 7 resulting in severe immunodeficiency.
PLEASE STOP THYMECTOMY DURING HEART SURGERY
The surgeon’s dogma: Surgery cures all diseases/disorders.
Excellent information! (I wonder what they do with the organs that are removed).
