The thymus, as well as many immune cells, have the ability to capture and metabolize iodine to support the innate immune system in fighting viral and bacterial infections.
Heidi I consider you an expert on the thyroid and thymus so I have sat up and taken notice....I dont like the bread anymore it tastes funny so I have switched to ftrench flour and making my own...but sine my sister and niece all have had their thryoids malfunction and taken out..and i have zillions of nodules so they say...I'm inclined to take a good supplement..thank you for this as without Mortons salt which I take sparingly I don't know how to get more iodine...any suggestions or thoughts welcome...
This is interesting and perhaps timely for me. For the past few days I've been having low grade headaches, which have been very rare through my lifetime. Now I usually supplement iodine and my love of ocean seafood and seaweed provides some help for this. But for the last week I have been travelling a lot and am now in a part of Northern Thailand that is very far removed from the sea. I read somewhere that during the Great Depression in the 1930's acute iodine deficiency was very common especially among those significantly inland with no salt water nearby such as in Ohio. Then they started adding iodine to a lot of processed foods but now for whatever reason they've stopped doing that as much. Perhaps it's time to add a little iodine back in...it's also good for radiation sickness
THY so much for this info Heidi... I'm "on it..." Have had Hashimotos circa 1987, and only lately, as of 2 years ago, I discovered Iodine + Sélénium, Zn, in a vitmn called IP6...
Greece salt is loaded with cations onions + electrolytes, along with I2...
Excellent piece Heidi! Thank you.
You're welcome! Thank you for reading and sharing. 🙏
The whole video is good. I love the story of his change of heart and his father's health taking a huge turn.
Heidi. Don't forget Selenium as a cofactor with iodine supplementation and thyroid health
Thank you for the reminder! I will add a picture of my Lugol's bottle with all the cofactors. 🥰

Damn may need to start supplementing with Iodine. Have plenty of potassium iodine. Thanks Heidi!
In fact I just ordered some Lugols formula. Guess there’s a bunch of different types mimicking that formula?
Most are straight iodine. The one I got is a bit pricey.
great info, heidi. your presentation of it good and straightforward and i love how you detail the benefits.
Thank you Guy. 🙏🙏🙏
Don't forget to check out the toxicity reports and the sourcing of synthetic chemicals:
